Pre-op x-ray of a displaced spiral proximal phalanx fracture, which is best treated with surgical correction.

 

Post-op x-rays showing anatomic fixation with three small screws. This rigid fixation allows early range of motion.

A displaced, mid-shaft fracture of the middle metacarpal, which is can be treated with internal fixation.

 

The fracture has been fixed with a plate and screws. This rigid technique usually avoids the need for a cast and allows immediate range of motion.
